Project Overview

We conducted an information architecture audit on Toronto Ornithological Club's website to access its usability.

We did semi-structured interviews and card-sorting to determine an optimal architecture for the website.

We then tested our hypothesis with more interviews, card-sorting and a tree test study to create a low fidelity prototype.

My Role

We analyzed the information architecture of the website with a user-centric bottom-up approach through IA principles and development methods. I conducted user interviews, usability tests, and used different software to audit the content inventory of the website, and to conduct card-sort and tree test studies

Process

This video elaborates the details of the research, audit, and information architecture recommendations based on the audit.

Low Fidelity prototype

These are some of the changes we made in the architecture to better serve the users of the website.
