Shame In Symbols of Honour: Flags

There are several understandings of shame. In particular, the one theory that resonated with me was the concept of shame as the absence of honour and power. Having been inspired by this theory, I felt compelled to create a graphic representation to express the complexities of shame.

 

As a result, I decided to distort the graphics of national flags, a universally prominent symbol of honour. To withdraw from the very essence of the honour that national flags represent, I distorted every national flag existing today, and I created a typology book of distorted flags.
